Description

Myricetin methylether is a flavonoid that has been shown to inhibit the activity of certain enzymes. It inhibits the acetylcholinesterase enzyme, which leads to an increase in acetylcholine levels in the brain and can have a stimulant effect on motor functions. Myricetin also inhibits the activity of three cytochrome P450 enzymes, namely CYP1A2, CYP2B6, and CYP3A4. Myricetin methylether is found in some medicinal plants such as Ferruginea and is used for its anti-inflammatory effects.
