Description:
6-Methoxyflavonol is a flavonoid that inhibits the expression of toll-like receptor (TLR) 2 and TLR4. It also inhibits the production of proinflammatory cytokines, such as IL-1β, IL-6, TNFα and IL-8. 6-Methoxyflavonol has been shown to have hepatoprotective effects in vitro, which may be due to its ability to inhibit the transcriptional regulation of NFκB. 6-Methoxyflavonol also has significant cytotoxicity against a number of human cancer cell lines.
