Description:

1-Naphthyl isothiocyanate (1NITC) is an analytical method that can be used to measure glutathione-dependent peroxidase (GSH-Px) activities in vivo. It has been shown to inhibit the activities of GSH-Px and other enzymes, such as zirconium oxide polymerase chain reaction (PCR), primary sclerosing cholangitis, and hepatitis C virus protease. 1NITC has also been shown to have therapeutic effects on autoimmune diseases, liver lesions, and injury by inhibiting the activity of the enzyme HSP90. This compound can be used for the analysis of biological samples and hepatic diseases such as cholestasis or injury.
