Product Information
4-((4-Nitrophenyl)sulfonyl)morpholine (4NPSM) is a sulfonylating agent that is used in biomolecular chemistry. It is a catalyst for the sulfonation of amines and hydrazides, which are chemical compounds with nitrogen and oxygen atoms, respectively. 4NPSM has been shown to increase the yields of sulfonation by 10%. The reaction time can be decreased from hours to minutes when 4NPSM is used as a catalyst. 4NPSM also reacts quickly with hydrazides and amines, yielding an intermediate that can react with sulfur dioxide to form the desired product.
