NCS-382 is a compound that has been shown to have glutamate receptor activity. It is a sodium salt of N-cyclohexylsulfamoyl, which is a member of the sulfonamide class of compounds. NCS-382 binds to voltage-dependent calcium channels and blocks their activity, thereby inhibiting locomotor activity in mice. It also inhibits the uptake of fatty acids into cells, which may be due to its ability to inhibit fatty acid binding proteins.
