Description:7-Nitroindazole is a polymerase chain inhibitor that binds to the enzyme DNA polymerase. 7-Nitroindazole has been shown to inhibit neuronal death in rats that were exposed to a low dose of oxygen and it also inhibits cyclase and synthase activities, as well as receptor activity. 7-Nitroindazole has been shown to have pharmacological effects on neurons, as well as on energy metabolism, by inhibiting mitochondrial function. This drug also interferes with intermolecular hydrogen bonding by binding to the enzyme DNA polymerase and can be used for treating maternal blood.
