2-Naphthylamine-3,6,8-trisulfonic acid (2NA3TS) is an ammonolysis product that is a water soluble, stable compound with a sulfonic acid functional group. 2NA3TS has been shown to be effective in wastewater treatment and can be used as a catalyst for the removal of chlorides and sulfates from wastewater. 2NA3TS is also an excellent diazonium salt precursor that can be used in the production of dyes.
