Description:

Ne-Boc-L-lysine methyl ester hydrochloride is an ester that is a derivative of the amino acid lysine. It has been used as a building block for the synthesis of macrocyclic compounds and as an intermediate in the production of high yielding methyl esters. Ne-Boc-L-lysine methyl ester hydrochloride can be prepared by hydrogenation of the corresponding aminobenzoate. The reaction requires acidification and sodium borohydride as a reducing agent.
