Iso-Osajin is a type of acetylcholine esterase inhibitor. It has been shown to increase the levels of prenyl, isoflavones and hydroxyl groups in the brain. This may be due to its ability to inhibit cholinesterase activity, which is an enzyme that breaks down acetylcholine. Iso-Osajin can also modulate cancer cell growth by inhibiting the production of beta-amyloid peptide and reducing levels of this protein in the brain. It can also inhibit allylation and sample preparation for magnetic resonance spectroscopy.
