Description:
Oxetane-3-carboxylic acid is a sensitizer that can be used for oxidation reactions. Oxetane-3-carboxylic acid is a reagent for the preparation of many organic compounds, including diazo ketones and hydroxyketones. It has been shown to have radical scavenging properties and can be used in the synthesis of polymers. Oxetane-3-carboxylic acid is also a starting material for the preparation of other compounds, such as tetrahydrofuran, which can be used as an industrial solvent. The reaction mechanism of oxetane-3-carboxylic acid is complex and has not yet been fully elucidated.
