Product Information
OXi 4503 is a compound that has been shown to inhibit angiogenesis. It binds to the receptor tyrosine kinase VEGFR-2, which is responsible for regulating the formation of new blood vessels. OXi 4503 also binds to angiopoietin-2, which is a protein that stimulates angiogenesis by binding to VEGFR-2. This inhibition of angiogenesis leads to a decrease in tumor growth. OXi 4503 has minimal toxicity and does not cause any significant cytotoxicity in vitro, even at high concentrations. The drug also shows potential as a biomarker for radiation exposure and as an anticancer agent for treatment of solid tumours. OXi 4503 has been shown to be effective in vitro against MDA-MB-231 breast cancer cells and carcinoid syndrome cells.
