- 1-Oleoyl-2-acetyl-glycerol1-Oleoyl-2-acetylglycerol(9Z)-9-Octadecenoic acid 2-(acetyloxy)-3-hydroxypropyl ester
1-Oleoyl-2-acetyl-sn-glycerol is a lipid that is synthesized from diacylglycerol, which is an intermediate of the phosphatidic acid pathway. 1-Oleoyl-2-acetyl-sn-glycerol has been shown to induce IL-2 receptor and protein kinase activity in HL60 cells. It also causes an increase in intracellular calcium levels by binding to the cytosolic calcium ion channel and activating the enzyme protein kinase C. This lipid has been shown to be potent inducers of IL-2 receptor and protein kinase activity in HL60 cells.
