Product Information
1-Oxa-6-azaspiro[3.3]heptane is a lead compound that inhibits the growth of cancer cells. It is a derivative of azetidine, which is synthesized by reacting 1-hydroxypyrrolidine with malonic acid chloride in the presence of sodium cyanoborohydride. 1-Oxa-6-azaspiro[3.3]heptane has been shown to inhibit the proliferation of cancer cells, as well as epidermal growth factor and epidermal growth factor receptor expression. This compound also has anti-tumor activities against lung cancer cell lines, which may be due to its inhibition of water solubility, leading to cell death via apoptosis.
