Product Information
Name:Pigment violet 23
Brand:Biosynth
Description:Pigment violet 23 is a glycol ether used as a solvent and an additive to coat magnetic particles. It has been shown to bind levopimaric acid and chlorine atom, forming the diazonium salt. The diazonium salt can be converted into the corresponding dye by using an oxidation catalyst at a temperature that is greater than or equal to 250 degrees Celsius. This process can be done in either a supercritical fluid or a particle suspension. Pigment violet 23 exhibits a purple color when dissolved in organic solvents, making it an excellent candidate for analytical methods that use colorimetric reactions.
