2-Piperidone is a chemical compound that can be used to treat inflammatory bowel disease and bowel disease. It is an inhibitor of the enzyme carbonyl oxygens, which has been shown to inhibit chronic pulmonary inflammation. 2-Piperidone has also been found to have receptor activity against infectious diseases, but the mechanism is not fully understood.
