Pyraflufen-ethyl is a herbicide that inhibits the growth of plants by inhibiting photosynthesis. The mechanism of action is to bind to the chlorophyll molecule in the plant, which prevents the absorption of light energy and consequently disrupts electron transport. Pyraflufen-ethyl is used as a weed control agent for various crops, including potatoes. It has been observed that it does not affect the yield or quality of potatoes and can be used in combination with other pesticides, such as glyphosate.
