Description

2-Pentanone is an organic compound that is a colorless liquid with a pungent odor. It can be used as a solvent for oils, waxes and resins, but it also has some industrial uses. In addition to these properties, 2-pentanone has been shown to be an effective inhibitor of Cox-2, which is a proinflammatory enzyme.
