Description

Pentadecanedioic acid is a fatty acid that is often used as a pharmaceutical preparation. It has been shown to have inhibitory effects for the removal of malonic acid and other organic acids from wastewater treatment by biological treatment. Pentadecanedioic acid can be synthesized from trifluoroacetic acid and cyclohexane ring, which are precursors to this compound. The hydroxyl group on pentadecanedioic acid makes it susceptible to fluorescence spectrometry, making it an appropriate sample preparation method for this compound.
