(R)-1-(Pyridin-2-yl)ethanamine is a muscarinic acetylcholine receptor antagonist. It has been shown to inhibit the activity of acetylcholine receptors in the brain and spinal cord, which may be due to its ability to bind to the orthosteric site on these receptors. (R)-1-(Pyridin-2-yl)ethanamine also has an optical purity of 99%. This agent is used for pharmacological profiling and as a probe for studying acetylcholine receptors.
