Description

2-(Piperazin-1-yl)phenol is a piperazine derivative that is a selective 5-HT1A receptor agonist. It has been shown to be effective in reversing hyperactivity, as well as reducing dopamine D3 receptor binding and uptake. This drug also has clinical studies for the treatment of Parkinson's disease, which are focused on its ability to reduce dyskinesia. 2-(Piperazin-1-yl)phenol is a dopamine receptor agonist and can bind to both subtypes of this receptor, but it does not have affinity for other amine receptors.
