Pyrimidine-2-sulfonyl fluoride is a chemical substance that reacts with amines to form sulphonamides. The reaction rate of this chemical is dependent on its concentration and the temperature of the water. Pyrimidine-2-sulfonyl fluoride is an isomeric compound that can be reacted with chlorine to produce a difluoride. This substance also has reactivity with sulphonate, yielding sulphonamide. It has been shown that yields are increased when pyrimidines are used as a substrate for this reaction. When pyrimidines are used as a substrate, spectra for the product will show peaks at 240 nm and 280 nm. Sulphonates have been observed in the product when it is heated in water or exposed to air.
