Product Information
Name:Poly(vinylamine) hydrochloride, average Mw 25000
Synonyms:
- Ethenamine homopolymer
Brand:Biosynth
Description:Poly(vinylamine) hydrochloride (PVNH) is a synthetic polymer that is composed of repeating units of vinylamine. PVNH has been shown to have the ability to reduce blood pressure and alleviate congestive heart failure in animal models. The conformational properties of PVNH are influenced by the presence of the hydroxyl group, which affects its reactivity with other compounds. This polymer can be synthesized using an asymmetric synthesis method, which uses ethylene diamine as a starting material. Poly(vinylamine) hydrochloride is also known to have anti-diabetic properties and has been found to inhibit the activity of toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4), which indicates that it may be useful in treating cardiovascular diseases such as atherosclerosis and hypertension.
