Description

PEG 1500 is a polyethylene glycol polymer that has a viscosity of 1500 centipoise. It is used in detergent compositions for low-energy washing and as an adjuvant for the treatment of autoimmune diseases and inflammatory diseases. PEG 1500 has been shown to be safe for use in diabetic patients, with no adverse effects on blood sugar levels. PEG 1500 also increases chemical stability, which may be due to its ability to inhibit enzymes such as phospholipase A2 or lipoxygenases.
