Pentaerythritol triacrylate is a reactive liquid that can be used in the synthesis of polymers. It has the chemical structure of three esters of pentaerythritol, with one carboxylic acid and two hydroxyl groups. Pentaerythritol triacrylate reacts with amines and sodium carbonate to form an acrylamide polymer. This reaction can be monitored by measuring the change in magnetic resonance spectrum due to the formation of hydrogen bonding interactions between hydroxyl groups and carbonyl groups. The methyl ethyl chains are long and flexible, which allows them to interact with other molecules within the polymer solution and create a 3D network. This liquid is colorless, odorless, water-insoluble, viscous liquid that has a density of 1.06 g/cm3 at 20°C. The average diameter is about 0.4 nm for pentaerythritol triacrylate molecules
