Product Information
Name:Pigment Yellow 42
Brand:Biosynth
Description:Pigment Yellow 42 is a synthetic, film-forming polymer with a hydroxy group and iron oxides. It has been shown to be an effective optical brightener in coatings. Pigment Yellow 42 is prepared by glycol ethers reacting with the hydroxyl group of an aromatic amine condensation product, which is created by the reaction of formaldehyde and iron oxides. The polymerization initiator used for the synthesis of Pigment Yellow 42 can be either radiation or a fatty acid. The chemical compositions of this pigment are known to contain:
br>
iron oxide, polystyrene, polyester resin, and polyethylene glycol monomethyl ether acetate. This pigment is often used as a yellow colorant in plastics, paper products, inkjet prints, textile printing and oil paints.
