3-Pentadecylphenol is a chemical compound that is found in human cancer tissue. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of cervical cancer cells by binding to their DNA, inhibiting transcription and replication. This compound also has a number of hydrogen bonding interactions with other molecules, making it a good candidate for Suzuki coupling reactions. 3-Pentadecylphenol can be synthesized from 3-pentadecanol and benzaldehyde by a suzuki coupling reaction. The molecular structure of this molecule contains hydroxyl groups, which are capable of hydrogen bonding with substances such as silver ions. 3-Pentadecylphenol has been shown to have phase transition temperature and solubility data.
