Description:6-(Phthalimidomethyl)morphanthridine is a drug that belongs to the class of antihistamines. It has been shown to inhibit histamine-induced contractions in guinea pig ileum. 6-(Phthalimidomethyl)morphanthridine also inhibits the release of histamine from mast cells and basophils, which may be due to its ability to bind to these cells and prevent the release of histamine. In addition, 6-(Phthalimidomethyl)morphanthridine binds to sodium borohydride, hydrazine, and metal hydrides.
