Description:PJ 34 hydrochloride is a platinum-based anti-cancer drug that is used to treat solid tumours in combination with other chemotherapeutic drugs. It has been shown to have a protective effect on cisplatin-induced nephrotoxicity in vitro and in vivo, by modulating the acetylation of proteins, which leads to the inhibition of DNA methyltransferase activity. PJ 34 hydrochloride has also been shown to inhibit cancer cell growth and induce necrotic cell death. This drug also has genotoxic effects, as it can cause oxidative damage to DNA, which may lead to carcinogenic changes. PJ 34 hydrochloride is an inhibitor of CDK4/6 proteins and is effective at doses between 0.1-1 µM.
