Description:
(R)-1,2-Propylene carbonate is a chiral c1-c3 activating agent that is used as an efficient catalyst for the reaction of inorganic acids with aldehydes. It can also be used to dehydrate activated esters and mismatched alkyl halides. (R)-1,2-Propylene carbonate has been shown to activate chloride to produce reactive chlorine in organic synthesis.
