Phenoxyacetaldehyde dimethyl acetal is a chemical compound with the molecular formula of C6H10O2. It is an organic compound that has the chemical structure of aldehyde, which consists of two carbonyl groups and one hydroxyl group. Phenoxyacetaldehyde dimethyl acetal is a colorless to pale yellow liquid with an odor of almonds or almond oil. This chemical can be extracted from zirconium and polyvinylchloride using alkoxycarbonyl and vinyl alcohol. The water absorption rate for this compound is high, which causes it to be soluble in water. Phenoxyacetaldehyde dimethyl acetal has been shown to react with primary amines in a cycloaliphatic ring system, forming isomers that are chromatographically separable. It also shows optical properties when irradiated by radiation, such as X-rays or ultraviolet light. This chemical has been used as a reagent in size-exclusion chromatography for am
