L-Propargylglycine has antioxidative properties, antimicrobial peptide activity, and ATP channel inhibition. This drug also has a number of other pharmacological effects including modulation of intestinal inflammation in models of inflammatory bowel disease and improvement of atherosclerotic lesions in animal models.
