Brand:Biosynth
Description:Phthalein purple is a fluorescent dye that is used as a calcium indicator for clinical pathology. It has been shown to be useful in the measurement of calcium levels in human serum and plasma, as well as in other biological fluids. Phthalein purple binds to calcium ions and forms stable complexes with them. A linear calibration curve can be obtained using this dye when runx2 gene transcription is induced by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) with primers and probes. The function of this dye can be determined by measuring the amount of fluorescence emitted when it is excited at a particular wavelength. The stability of this dye can also be determined by monitoring its fluorescence intensity over time. This dye can also act as a molecular probe for the detection of osteogenic genes and metabolic disorders, such as Paget's disease or Gaucher's disease.br>
