Palladium(II) bromide is an inorganic compound that is a water-soluble salt. It can be used as an optical sensor for light emission, as well as a catalyst in the oxidation of organic compounds. Palladium(II) bromide reacts with water vapor to form a bound form and the reaction solution turns into an acidic solution. The hydrochloric acid and inorganic acid react with palladium(II) bromide, which leads to formation of palladium complexes and hydroxyl group. The pyrazole ring is replaced by chlorine atom during the reaction process, forming a new complex. Palladium(II) bromide has high transport properties due to its low molecular weight and solubility in organic solvents. It also has aromatic hydrocarbon groups that are soluble in many solvents.
