Description

Prunetin is a natural compound found in plants. Prunetin has been shown to have antioxidant properties, as well as inhibitory effects on the synthesis of inflammatory mediators such as prostaglandins and leukotrienes. Prunetin also has anti-inflammatory effects by inhibiting the activation of toll-like receptors, which are molecules that activate inflammation. Prunetin may be useful for treatment of oxidative injury in biological systems due to its ability to scavenge reactive oxygen species and protect against lipid peroxidation.
