- Ulopterol
Peucedanol is a natural glycol ester that has been isolated from the roots of "Aristotelia chilensis" and "Eucryphia glutinosa". It has been shown to have immunomodulatory effects. Peucedanol inhibits the growth of infectious bacteria by inhibiting fatty acid synthesis in the cell membrane. It also inhibits the production of proinflammatory cytokines, such as IL-1β and TNF-α, by downregulating NF-κB activation. Peucedanol is also a coumarin derivative with acetate extract and p-hydroxybenzoic acid as its main components.
