4-(Dimethylamino)pyridine, polymer-bound (4DAP-P), is a chemical compound that belongs to the aminopyridine class of compounds. 4DAP-P has been shown to have antibacterial efficacy against bacteria such as Escherichia coli and Klebsiella pneumoniae in vitro assays. It also has anti-inflammatory properties and can be used for the treatment of inflammatory bowel disease. 4DAP-P is not absorbed through the skin or mucus membranes, but can be taken orally with food or liquid.
