Description

Prosulfocarb is a VLCFA herbicide that has been shown to have a synergistic interaction with glycol ethers. This chemical was found to be active against the dry weight of weeds, and resistant to the herbicide. Prosulfocarb is a polymeric matrix that is used in the preparation of samples for bioassays. The active form of this chemical is composed of fatty acids that are physiological effects on plants. The mechanism for these effects is not well understood, but it may be due to interference with membrane permeability, lipid synthesis, or enzyme function.
