Description:Perfluoro-2,3,5,6-tetramethylcyclohexane (PFTC) is a blood substitute that can be used in emulsions. It has been shown to have an electron microscopic particle size of 1.4 nm and is a dry powder that can be administered intravenously. PFTC has been shown to be effective in the treatment of lung damage caused by smoke inhalation and is resistant to oxidation.
