Cis-Perfluorodecalin is a perfluorocarbon that has been shown to have anti-inflammatory effects. It has been shown to decrease the levels of inflammatory cytokines such as TNF-α, IL-1β and IL-6 in animal models. Cis-Perfluorodecalin also inhibits bacterial growth when used in model organisms and rat liver microsomes. This drug is chemically stable, retains its activity after laser ablation, and has photochemical properties that allow it to be used for sample preparation.
