Description

Quinoxaline-2,3-dithiol is a coating material that has been shown to be effective in the prevention of corrosion. It is transparent and colorless, with a high durability and low friction coefficient. Quinoxaline-2,3-dithiol has been shown to inhibit the transfer reactions of HCl in hydrochloric acid. The sensitivity index for quinoxaline-2,3-dithiol has been found to be 1.5x10^8 M/V/cm^2. It is sensitive to x-rays at wavelengths of 0.1 nm and is also sensitive to neutron irradiation at a wavelength of 0.6 nm. The optimum concentration for quinoxaline-2,3-dithiol is at a concentration of 5 mg/ml when exposed to x-rays and 10 mg/ml when exposed to neutrons.
