Product Information
- Quinoline-5-carboxaldehyde
Quinoline-5-carbaldehyde is an organic compound that can be synthesized through a number of methods. It is used as a fluorescent probe for the detection of alkylsulfonyl groups and as a luminescent probe for the detection of c1-c6 alkoxy groups. Quinoline-5-carbaldehyde has been shown to function as a highlighter of vibrational spectra, and it may be used to detect stereoisomers. This compound reacts with hydrogen peroxide to produce a photoproduct that can be detected by chemiluminescence. Quinoline-5-carbaldehyde may also be used in quinoline derivatives and other organic syntheses.
