Quercetagetin-7-O-glucoside is a flavonol glycoside that is found in the leaves of Quercetagetia tinctoria. It has been shown to have antihypertensive activity and may be used for the treatment of inflammatory diseases and metabolic disorders. Quercetagetin-7-O-glucoside inhibits the production of proinflammatory cytokines, such as tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNFα), by inhibiting activation of nuclear factor kappa B (NFκB). Additionally, quercetagetin-7-O-glucoside has been shown to inhibit angiotensin II in vitro. This inhibition may be due to its ability to inhibit the activity of angiotensin converting enzyme.
