Description:8-Quinolinesulfonyl chloride (8QSC) is a quinoline derivative that has been shown to have anticancer activity. 8QSC binds to the receptor site of cells and inhibits the production of amines, which are important for cell growth and proliferation. It also binds to hydrogen bonds, which may be involved in the cytotoxicity observed in pancreatic cancer cells. 8QSC shows significant cytotoxicity against Panc-1 cells, but not against NIH 3T3 cells. This may be due to its ability to form supramolecular aggregates with copper ions and quinoline derivatives.
