Description:

Rec EGF is a mouse epidermal growth factor that is found in the epidermis. It is a member of the family of growth factors, which are proteins that stimulate cellular proliferation and differentiation. Rec EGF has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis. Rec EGF binds to DNA and can be used as a model system for studying the biochemical properties of growth factors. Rec EGF also has dna binding activity, which may be due to its ability to form hydrogen bonds with guanine nucleotide-binding (G) residues in DNA or protein-protein interactions with other proteins.
