Product Information

Name:cis-Resveratrol

  • 5-[(1Z)-2-(4-Hydroxyphenyl)ethenyl]-1,3-benzenediolcis-3,4',5-TrihydroxystilbeneZ-5-[2-(4-Hydroxyphenyl)ethenyl]-1,3-benzenediol
Brand:Biosynth
Description:Resveratrol is a polyphenol found in the skin of grapes and red wine. It has been shown to have anti-inflammatory activity and has been used as a drug for treatment of coronary heart diseases. Resveratrol also activates the protein kinase AMPK by binding to toll-like receptor, which is involved in energy metabolism and inflammatory responses. Resveratrol can inhibit neuronal death induced by pharmacological agents such as glutamate or beta-amyloid peptide through activation of Ca2+ channels. Resveratrol also prevents cell death caused by ryanodine receptor activation by drugs such as isoproterenol or doxorubicin.
