C.I.Reactive orange 7 is a reactive dye that is used in surface methodology to determine the diameter of particles in the range of 0.2-2 μm. It can be used for process optimization, where it is often applied to wastewater treatment systems with the goal of reducing the number of organic compounds and heavy metals in water by adsorption. C.I.Reactive orange 7 has been shown to interact with benzalkonium chloride, which alters its reactivity and changes its color from red to yellow or green when mixed with aqueous solutions at pH values below 8. This dye also has an interactive effect on hydrogen bonding interactions between molecules and animal experiments have been performed on rats to test this dye's toxicity and carcinogenicity.>>>
