Product Information
Rabdophyllin G is a labiate diterpenoid that inhibits the growth of cancer cells in vitro. It has been shown to have significant cytotoxicity, inhibiting the synthesis of DNA, RNA, and proteins. Rabdophyllin G has also been shown to have an inhibitory effect on bladder cancer cells in vivo. This compound is structurally related to other labiate compounds such as labdane diterpenes, which are found in the roots of plants from the genus Laburnum. The skeleton of rabdophyllin G can be identified by magnetic resonance spectroscopy. The chemical structures of rabdophyllin G can be determined by hydrolysis with hydrochloric acid or eluting with anhydrous sodium acetate.
