• Description: Sodium Danshensu is a bioactive phytochemical that can be extracted from Salvia miltiorrhiza, which has been used in traditional Chinese medicine for the treatment of HIV infection. It is an experimental model to study the effect of this compound on mitochondrial membrane potential. Sodium Danshensu is a new chemical entity and its pharmacokinetic properties have not been fully studied yet. The recommended dosage of sodium Danshensu is 0.6-1g, which should be injected into muscle or subcutaneously. It can also be administered intravenously at a dose of 0.5-2g per day in adults, with a maximum daily dose of 12g. Sodium Danshensu has been shown to have pharmacokinetic properties similar to glucose injection and it can be used as an alternative for patients who cannot tolerate glucose injections.br> Sodium Danshensu has also been shown to have anti-inflammatory effects by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis
