Description:Suc-Ala-Trp-Pro-Phe-pNA is a cyclosporine analog that inhibits the activity of protein isomerases. It has been shown to inhibit the phosphatase activity of casein and stabilize peptide bonds in bovine serum albumin. Suc-Ala-Trp-Pro-Phe-pNA can also be used as a substrate for tyrosine kinase and amide bond formation. Suc-Ala-Trp-Pro-Phe-pNA is an inhibitor of FK506 binding to its receptor, which may be due to its ability to compete with tyrosine residues for binding sites. This compound also exhibits stabilization effects on protein structures by inhibiting the degradation of proteins by proteolytic enzymes or other chemical agents.
