Description:
Stictic acid is a lichen acid that belongs to the group of natural compounds. It has pharmacological effects and can be used as an antimicrobial agent against bacteria, fungi, and viruses. Stictic acid also has antioxidant properties and can inhibit the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines. The acetate extract of usnic acid has been shown to have a high cytotoxicity against murine leukemia L1210 cells in vitro.
